Non-fungible tokens (NFT)

An NFT is a digital asset that represents real-world objects like art, music, in-game items, and videos. They are generally encoded with the same underlying software as many cryptocurrencies.

Since almost everything on the internet can be copied and duplicated, NFTs prove ownership of a digital asset. By doing so, NFTs essentially create digital scarcity. Out of the infinite number of digital copies, the holder of the NFT proves they are the exclusive owner of that asset.
